Top 10 College Women Competition

  • Glamour is pleased to invite you to apply to the 2010 Top 10 College Women Competition. This competition recognizes the exceptional achievements and academic excellence of female college juniors. It’s an ideal opportunity for talented students to be rewarded for their leadership roles on campus and in the greater community. It is also an opportunity to spotlight Oklahoma State University and the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology!

    Winners receive $3,000, coverage in the issue of the magazine, and the opportunity to meet with female professionals in their field, during a trip to New York City, where the winners will also meet one another.

2010 Women’s Faculty Council Research Awards

  • Inviting current women OSU students to apply for one of several $500.00 research awards.

    • All disciplines are eligible.
    • Student must be the sole or primary author of work done at OSU.
    • You are welcome to submit summaries of research for theses, dissertations, course projects, and creative works.
    • Completed projects and works in progress considered.
    • Both undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to apply. Work must have been done at OSU. 2009 graduates are eligible.
    • Winners will be announced at the beginning of the spring semester, and will participate in Research Week activities, Feb. 15th-19th, 2010, and attend an awards reception during Research Week.

21st annual OSU Research Symposium

  • The Graduate College, the Graduate & Professional Student Government Association, and the Office of the Vice-President of Research and Technology Transfer are hosting the 21st annual OSU Research Symposium. See attached flyer ... The OSU Research Symposium will be February 17, 18, and 19 in 2010.

    The OSU Research Symposium is an excellent opportunity for undergraduate students to present their original research. Presenting is a great opportunity to practice presentations they are about to make at state or national conferences, present findings from an honors thesis, or present work completed as part of a research project for a class. Students can choose to make a poster or paper presentation.

NASA Aeronautics Scholarship

  • The NASA Aeronautics Scholarship Program which is administered by the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) is officially accepting applications for the 2010 Aeronautics Scholarship Program. It is expected that approximately 20 two-year undergraduate, and 5 two-year with an option of a third year graduate scholarships will be awarded annually to students pursuing aeronautical engineering and related fields such as Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics and Mathematics. Total allocated award amounts are up to $40,000 for undergraduates and up to $125,000 for graduates. These funds will go towards tuition and related costs, as well as to provide paid summer internship opportunities at a NASA research center.

    Competitive applicants interested in this amazing opportunity should begin completing application materials immediately. A completed application will consist of profile information, academic background (including transcripts), a resume, an essay for undergraduates, a proposal for graduates, letters of recommendations, and any test scores, such as GRE's, when appropriate.
